2012 Sydney Shakespeare Festival
To go or not to go? That is the question. The Sydney Shakespeare Festival celebrates its fifth year in production with the plays Hamlet and The Taming of the Shrew. Attend this annual winter tradition set in the heart of Sydney with family members and friends.
Soak in views of the Sydney Harbor and city skyline while enjoying entertaining performances of the Shakespearean plays Hamlet and The Taming of the Shrew. Be sure to bring lawn chairs and blankets to this outdoor event because plays occur rain or shine, and the Sydney Shakespeare Festival should not be missed.
Performances have already begun and continue until February 12th. Tickets are available for purchase online for $29 for adults (18-64) and $17 for high school students (13-17). Catering to the traveling family’s budget, all children, seniors, and people with disabilities enter free. The Sydney Shakespeare Festival will please anyone looking for quality entertainment on a budget.
The outdoor theatre can be accessed by light rail, bus, or car and is conveniently located at Bicentennial Park near downtown Sydney. The park is wheelchair accessible and bathrooms are available on-site. Avoid the drama of complicated trips and visit Sydney for a fun-filled vacation.
