Composed by the renowned Giuseppe Verdi, La Triviata sings of the trials and tribulations of Violetta, a tuberculosis victim, and her lover Alfredo in 18^th century Paris. The Handa Opera presents this devastatingly romantic story that has captured the hearts of thousands around the world and will now be played for audiences in Sydney.

The opera will be performed at the Sydney Opera House, located near the Royal Botanic Gardens. From 7 to 10: 30 PM, guests will enjoy late-night views of the shimmering harbor and heart-pounding sounds from some of Australia’s best vocalists. Stunning costumes, elaborate sets, a 9 meter chandelier, and a glistening stage will provide a unique viewing experience.

The opera is sung in Italian, but subtitles will be projected on a screen adjacent to the stage.
