Annie Comes to Sydney
Since 1977, Annie the Musical has captured the hearts of millions across the world with its exquisite vocal and choreography talents. The Broadway cast and crew make a three-month stop in Sydney this year to share the magic of Daddy Warbucks and little Annie's hard-knock life.
The timeless tale of Annie takes to the stage in Sydney this February and March. Audience members will enjoy watching Annie and her orphan friends retaliate against the tyrannical Miss Hannigan, sing classics like “The Sun Will Come Out Tomorrow” and “It’s a Hard-Knock Life,” and find a family and home with billionaire Daddy Warbucks at the premiere theatre, The Star.
To give further praise to the notoriety of the play, you might be interested to know that “Tomorrow is sung every 20 minutes somewhere in the world,” “the play is based off of the comic strip titled ‘Little Orphan Annie,’” and “Sarah Jessica Parker played Annie on Broadway.”
Broadway greats such as, Todd McKenney (Dancing with the Stars), Chloe Dallimore (The Producers), and Julie Goodwin (West Side Story) will appear alongside the adorable 11-year-old Siena Elchaar, playing Annie in the production.
Sydney kicks off the national tour in Australia and runs for a twelve-week period. Tickets range from $40-$135 and are available for purchase on Ticketmaster.com. The Star theatre provides an intimate environment to enjoy the play and the show will be sure to give anyone the confidence that “the sun will come out tomorrow.”
