Earth, Wind, and Fire
Despite their age, the funky members of Earth, Wind, and Fire are still grooving as if it were 1972. In tight leather pants and equally fantastic hair-dos, this group of soulful men will take the stage on April 5th in Sydney at the Hordern Pavillion. Don't miss out on one of the rare opportunities to see them live.
Earth, Wind, and Fire’s founder, Maurice White, aimed to bring about the evolution of pop through the fusion of both African and African-American sounds, namely jazz and R&B. He also hoped to bridge the tastes of black and white in the spirit of 1970s eclecticism and multicultural spiritualism. With these goals in mind, he grouped one of the best soul, funk bands to ever hit the stage.
Known for their hits “Shining Star” and “September,” Earth, Wind, and Fire has grown to be one of the greatest American R&B groups of all time. They have produced over ten albums that all reached the Top Ten on the United States Billboard 200 pop albums chart, and won six Grammy Awards and four American Music Awards. To solidify their notoriety, they were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and are ranked the seventh best selling American band of all time.
To hear these award winning sounds, tickets may be purchased online or at the Hordern Pavillion for $159 for reserved seating. Don’t miss out on this boogie wonderland.
